Hello everyone!
Welcome to my second post of the end of the year series. This topic may include some unpopular opinions, just for a disclaimer these are my opinions and you do not have to agree with me!
4.) The fourth book I didn't like this year was The Gunslinger by Stephen King; I gave it a two star rating. Don't get me wrong I love Stephen Kings writing, but this story felt flat to me and I really can't remember what happened. In the future I might go back and read the rest of the series because I heard it gets better and the first one was just to set up the characters.
3.) The third book that made it to this list was Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. I gave this book a three star rating. This was a non-fiction book about successful people. This book discussed how many successful people became "outliers" in their profession. The author described an outlier as someone who is the best at what they do. The concept of this book was really interesting, but the actual book was not that well written in my option. I enjoyed the first half of this novel, but the second half felt a little rushed.
2.) This is the second worse book I read this year with a 2.5 star rating. This book would happen to be Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. This book was about how sometimes your mind can work in mysterious ways. Your brain naturally does certain things like making conclusions based on a "Gut feeling". Like I said before it was an interesting concept but the actual book was really repetitive.
1.) The final book I will be talking about is Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller. I gave this book a 3.5 stars because I enjoyed some of the scenes but the story just did not flow correctly. This book jumped around a lot and sometimes it caused me some confusion. That confusion really took me out of the story, but I it wasn't a horrible book.
Let me know if you've read any of these books and leave your opinions about these my choices and what you guys think.
