I know your probably asking yourself, What is a reading slump? Well let me explain, a reading slump is when you mentally want to read but you physically don't want to pick up a book. I personally get reading slumps when I'm stressed or overly tired. One strategy I use is rereading one of my favorite books or favorite book series.

Another strategy I heard that some of my friends told me about is reading from a genre that you are used to like light contemporary. A piece of advice that I would give you is to read something happy and goes with your sense of humor.

I know that some people force themselves to read when they are having a reading slump. This is something I would not recommend because you do not want to lose your love for reading. I do realize that this might work for some people, but be careful when you are forcing yourself to read.
