December Wrap Up

I read three books this month, which sounds good but I finished them in the last few weeks in December.

The first book I read this month, was Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon. I gave this book a five out of five stars because it showed so much emotion through the writing. This story was about this girl named Madeline who had SCIDS. SCIDS is a disease that can be lethal if she didn't get the right treatment. Madeline stayed in the house for the first 17 years of her life until she meet a boy named Olly. He helped Madeline choose to live her life rather than being scared and stuck in one place for the rest of her life.

The second book I finished this month was The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. This was a required reading for my English class, but I personally really enjoyed it and gave it a four out of five stars. This book was about a women named Hester Prynne and how she committed Adultery. This book shows how her life was different after people found out and made her an outsider in her own community.

The final book I finished this month was The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. This was a really good book and I gave it a four out of five stars. The only reason it did not get a full five star was because the beginning was really slow. This story was about how Frodo and friends started there journey to destroy the one true ring.

Those were the books I read this month, and they were all really good. In the new year I want to be able to read more books that I actually care about, and not just the popular books that are talk about a lot.
