Being a Mood Reader

Being a Mood Reader

Time for a discussion post, because I just feel like discussing being a mood reader- the pros and cons. What kind of reader are you guys?

First of all… I’ll explain what a mood reader is: A mood reader is someone who chooses a book based on what they are feeling at the moment, and they might push back a book that they set on their TBR because they want to read something else.

I am definitely one of those people! I love being able to pick up so many different books in a month, that is definitely one of the pros. (By the way this is going to be the pro secion and yes I know you probably understand this but I always have the feeling that I have to put random knowledge). Another pro in mood reading is being able to be free and pick up whatever book you want in that moment so it might impact you more. I also love being a mood reader because I’m able to look through my bookshelves and be able to pick out random books that have been on my TBR for a while.

There are some cons of being a mood reader though (I know surprising right!) (Sorry I feel like being sarcastic right now). The first con that I’m going to list is not being able to stick to your TBR which makes it very hard to read sequels or finish series (which I’m absolutely horrible at!) The next con is not being able to find a book that fits your mood that you own. Sometimes it's hard to find a book to read on my physical aTBR so I just have a lot of unread books laying around. Those are all the cons that I can think about for now.

If you have any more pros or cons about being a mood reader let me know!! Also let me know if you would describe yourself as a mood reader. Hope everyone has an amazing day!
